Join the Winter Wine Festival at Sanctuary Cove to embark on a wine trail through The Marine Village sampling the latest release vinos at restaurant­s and supplier pavilions. Wines from local and internatio­nal regions will be available for tasting or purchase through a coupon based system. Ioesco Restaurant, for example, will be serving drops from Levantine Hill in the Yarra Valley matched with black-ink spaghetti with wood-roasted fresh salmon and smoked salmon, capers and a touch of cream. The annual festival also includes wine masterclas­ses, food trucks and live music.

Get in quick if you want a ticket to the epic Greek feast that is Hellenika’s collaborat­ion with Miami Marketta. Hosted on long tables in Marketta’s laneway, the $120 (plus booking fee) lunch includes food, beer, wine and live music.

Celebrate the start of the long weekend with the Wynns Winemaker dinner at Imperial at The Star. Join the Wynns team as they present their anticipate­d release of the Wynns Coonawarra Range, including the 2016 Black Label Cabernet Sauvignon and 2015 John Riddoch Cabernet Sauvignon. Guests will enjoy four wines paired with four courses from Asian Cuisine executive chef Song Yao Su.
