Meat link to disease
WOMEN who frequently eat red meat have a higher risk of endometriosis, according to a study in the American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Data from more than 80,000 women over 22 years showed those who reported eating red meat twice a day had a 56 per cent higher risk of developing the disease, which causes pain and often leads to infertility, compared with those who said they only ate red meat once a week or less.
