Re the tradies who are working at Jewel & parking in Monaco Street and Rio Vista Blv: shouldn’t these workers be able to park onsite by now? Surely the basement parking has been completed. Sue, Broadbeach

McDonald’s McCafe says if you are unhappy with their new coffee they will give you another one … here you go sir have another dose of unhappy … Kenny

I agree with nameless, Trump has proved to be the best US President who has given big businesses confidence to expand, has created millions of jobs that Obama had forced them to close down through bad politics. Trump is now a US legend. Mathew, an Accountant.

So Ash Taylor has to rekindle his love of the game!!!, how about just doing the job that you are overpaid for and giving the fans and Titans a bit respectability. Kenny.

I agree. I think Trump has found a cure for cancer, he is getting rid of ISIS and has decimated the Democrats and Clintons ... Johnbrew.

I am 68, caucasian, born in Balmain. I was out at Blacktown, Sydney, and was asked what I was doing in their suburb as I did not look like the locals! God bless Australia Barry!

Agree re orange bikes as litter. They are also like pests, toxic and noxious.! What a mess. So many used by so few.

With the Tasmanian Gov. contributing $87m for a tourism eco-sensitive cable car in Cradle Mountain Nat. Park, Mt Coot-tha Brisbane also hopping aboard and now Perth, what’s the hold-up GC?

Facebook is an empty, shallow, mindless addiction people partake in to make themselves feel more socially accepted. These days most have moved on to new versions that are even more vain and less personal like snapchat, Instagram and that other thing twits do. Dave, Luddite.

The forecast for today was sunny, and it is, so what more do you want?

The obesity problem, a bit to fix when we export quality and we are the world’s dumping ground for cheap toxic processed obesity foods.

Crystal. Dave Warner should be playing cricket. Those three players wouldn’t have received less than what they did if they had murdered someone.

As for recycling bags ... all we did was replace them with thicker ones and now we have to pay for them. Why can’t supermarkets charge 15 cents for canvas bags or use biodegradable ones? If they cared about the environment this would be considered. Seems it is all about the profits.

Phyllis, you are spot on. As a Robina resident I continually hear of the ballooning debts of my fellow residents. Don’t believe the four wheel drives and kids in private schools, people in this suburb are in scorching, rising debt. When interest rates rise debts will skyrocket and houses repossessed. - John

Why should the taxpayer pay for people’s children? If you can’t afford children don’t have them. You shouldn’t expect the taxpayer to pay.

How many countries has Trump threatened to destroy, can he put US in such danger just to appear a hero? Jd.

Re-plastic bags. If the government was serious about reducing plastic bags, there would only be 1 cotton bags and free paper bags. Paper bags are made from trees. Cut the tall trees down and plant cuttings.

Scenario re smokers, take a smoker full time 38 hours a week, average 25 per hour, 4 weeks annual leave, averages 3 smokes per day in their employers time, average wasted time per smoke 5 minutes, equates to 45 minutes per week or 36 hours a working year, or $900 the poor employer wears per smoking employee, it’s not fair on their workmates nor the customers through poorer service. Perko

GC Nine News, bring back Eva, we love you & miss you already. CJ

The wife went to watch her favourite show last night and instead they played a stupid, boring, pointless load of rubbish. Won’t watch that again ever. LB

The Gold Coast sign at Yatala, same as the 2 huge iron saddles at the Equine District, is a great waste of money. GCCC should spend the millions on a reliable bus service crisscrossing the GC. Stop wasting our money! LOL

Could we please have a minister for common sense, or is it too late? JW

Look, I see a bird. Look, it’s sending a message. Look, it’s splattered all over my windshield. Just like watching all that crap on TV, especially the ABC blasting Trump at every conceivable opportunity. Good grief.

You nutjobs spruiking climate change are doing my head in. Please come back commonsense we really need you. All is forgiven for you abandoning us for so long. Exocet.

Vive le Tour! Vive le Trump! Peddling a bright future.
