ASSAULT — MERMAID BEACH

A WOMAN was allegedly struck to the face by a man at Mermaid Beach. About 8.30am on July 7, a 51-year-old woman was walking along a footpath on the Gold Coast Highway when she spotted a man jogging towards her. The woman tried to move to the side as much as possible to allow the jogger a clear path.

It is alleged the man raised his right arm and shoulder, and deliberate­ly collided with the woman. She suffered pain to the right side of her face, shoulder, chest and thigh.

It is alleged the man ran for another 10 metres before stopping and smiling at her. Reference: QP18012682­29

PETROL DRIVE OFFS — CARRARA, WORONGARY

A PERSON allegedly stole more than $150 of petrol from service stations in Carrara and Worongary.

In the offences, a dark blue, older model Toyota Corolla with a single NSW registrati­on plate “NAU 680” on the front was used.

On June 5 at 11.20am at Coelia Court in Carrara, the man filled up about $95 worth of petrol before driving off without trying to pay.

Similar offences occurred at Mudgeeraba Rd, Worongary, about 5.30pm on June 11, and about 8am on June 30 at Elysium Rd, Carrara.

About $60 and $80 of premium unleaded fuel was taken, respective­ly.

FRAUD AND STEALING — PACIFIC PINES

A PERSON has gone on a spending spree with a stolen credit card on the northern Gold Coast.

About 10pm on July 12, a car parked in the driveway of a home at Antipodes Close, Pacific Pines, was broken into. A wallet was taken.

Later that night, between 10.1811.25pm, the cards were used four times at Pacific Pines, Coomera and at two separate convenienc­e stores in Pimpama. Reference: QP18012742­20
