What a breath of fresh air to read Tony Cochrane's article in the Bulletin. No PC or BS and straight to the point on how Brisbane bureaucrats are deciding the Gold Coast's future. Of great concern is the shift in the tourism focus to Brisbane where under the State Govt 'Global Tourism Hub' the Queens Wharf development supported by Brisbane river cruise ship terminal will bring in 1.4 million extra tourists to Brisbane. As Tony pointed out, Brisbane is not suited for extra tourists but the Gold Coast is. All this has serious implications for the local economy. How are the Gold Coast leaders responding to this blatant action or are they enjoying their comfort zones too much? — Gordy
