Jet weight a big help

MUCH-TRAVELLED gelding Brilliant Jet can earn a trip to Sydney if he wins for trainer Aiden Nunn at Doomben.

Nunn is from Longford in Tasmania but travels up the mainland east coast each year for the polo circuit and takes a few racehorses with him.

Brilliant Jet has already won in four states and Nunn is quietly confident about him in the Open Handicap (2200m) at Doomben on Saturday.

“He drops sharply in weight on his last-start win (at Grafton under 60.5kg),” he said.
