CAT lovers will be feline pretty pawsome this weekend as the Carrara Cat Carnival returns.

The organiser of the carnival has had offers to take it around the country after the success of last year’s debut but purr-lease, other towns can keep their paws off the Gold Coast event. Creator Mia Lee said it’s here to stay.

“The success of last year’s first Cat Carnival proved there’s a gap in pet-orientated events,” she said. “I’ve had requests from around the country for the Cat Carnival to tour, however, its home will always be the Coast.”

That’s paw-some news for cat fanatics ahead of this year’s carnival from 9am-3pm tomorrow and Sunday.

Ms Lee is not kitten around when she says everything will be cat crazy.

There will be “tempurrary tattoos” at the Cattoo Parlour, Cat-icatures sketches, kitty face painting, Pat a Cat sessions, and feline grooming and health advice. Instafamous cats Didga and Boomer will be there, firefighters will launch their charity kitten calendar, and there will be cats for adoption.
