FITTING TRIBUTE FOR MAIDS’ CAR

THERE have been many famous cars throughout the ages. Think Steve McQueen’s Mustang from Bullitt, the Batmobile, Herbie the Love Bug and the DeLorean from Back to the Future. We can add to that list the gold 1992 Suzuki Vitara which has been used to transport the Surfers Paradise Meter Maids around town. After 400,000km, the car has reached the end of its days and owner Roberta Aitchison rang her good friend Adrian Fuller from Cash for Cars.

Normally a car of that vintage would be scheduled for deconstruction by Adrian and his team, with the remains exported for recycling. Adrian, however, could not bear to see such an iconic vehicle crushed so he has put forward a proposal to have the Suzuki, which is adorned with images of the Meter Maids, placed atop his car yard to promote both of the businesses.
