Dave, can I join your Luddite club please? Dee

Climate change has been occurring for many years, be it heat or cold. Many may be correct in the big call of (wait for it) MOTHER NATURE. D.J.B

Shame on you Coles, your new vouchers don’t give triple points on every 3rd shop. Now you have to spend $120 to get bonus flybuys. Woolworths, you are looking good. Paddy

First it was the moon landing and now it’s climate change. All a hoax.

Re: Health records. Child Support legislation is 100 times stronger. But if police, Centrelink and insurance companies have access then think of all the dodgy people who can have access. John, Sydney

I’d like to punish these low lives who go around stealing tradies’ tools but obviously God beat me to it. How low can you go?

Would love to know what is being developed on Captain Cook Drive!

Just putting it out there – NSW is trialling driverless trains. Dare to dream Qld Rail. Blues fan

The four big banks are about to raise their interest rates. There’s another bunch of mortgagee repossession sales. Believe in the financial system at your peril. Economic wipe-out already in the mail. Phil

The missus just bought a diesel 6-cylinder SUV. It’s going to pump heaps of carbon into the atmosphere to feed the trees. I’m so proud of her. Johnbrew

Pointless! Watched it once! Bring back Grant! Bring back Grant! Ma Glenno. There was a tennis player who had the same problem as Ash Taylor – his head was only used to count his money. Barney

Whack! Whack! While working in South Africa and Zimbabwe in the seventies I noticed court punishments for violent crimes included jail and/or fines and “cuts” on the bare behind with a long cane. Appropriate sentences for those young African gangs running riot in Victoria.

ABC advertising says it is the most trusted news source in the nation. Who says? You would have to be brain dead not to observe the long standing and repeated bias, especially when it comes to politics. Trump is a classic example. Most of us tolerate, not trust, this hugely expensive monolith.

Community consultation is key to The Spit master plan. It should be an outcome designed by informed community and professional people.

I wasn’t aware that Johnny Keating sold Telstra, or was that Paul Howard?

Just read letter saying Trump won election because of the Russians. Even top Democrats say that is rubbish and is actually impossible with the US voting system. Time for someone to nurture a brain instead of BS.

Re: Gold Coast sign on M1. Dump it off the Gold Coast and make artificial reef. GCCC ratepayers have had enough money wasted. Sink it.

With such a high rate of child rapes and abuse in the indigenous communities, maybe the Government should think about removing at-risk children from these communities like Tennant Creek?

If male inmates want sex in jail, they should become gay or bisexual and do it with one another. We all know it goes on even though many deny what they have done inside. Any guard having an intimate relationship with a prisoner needs to be sacked and prosecuted. This is the same as a teacher having a relationship with an over 18 student. NOT ALLOWED.

Ash Taylor says his head wasn’t in the Broncos game. How can they justify this bloke’s income when he’s not performing up to standard? Hasn’t even proven himself yet, and they throw big bucks at him. Get rid of him and any other impostors that don’t earn their money! Broady Bill

Shocking suffering by koalas. Qld Environment Minister can’t produce koala figures beyond 2014 but says a koala advisory council can wait 12 months. Just appalling.

Re: Jewel tradies park in Broadbeach. Sue, the carpark basement is not built yet and will not be built ’til the job is finished ... meaning 12mths more work digging the basement out. So 12mths more of us parking out the front of your houses. Haha. Ash

Please explain to me in plain English why we are building a solar farm on a 203ha site when we could be using that space for houses with their own solar panels on the roof with battery back-up to power themselves. If solar power is the way of the future, why is it not compulsory for every new house, building, industrial warehouse, shopping centre to install solar panels during construction? It just makes sense for them to be able to power their own buildings, store excess or put it back into the grid, therefore relieving massive pressure on the grid at peak usage times and cutting costs.
