Dolkens’ double delight

GOLD Coast young gun Dayle Dolkens capped a memorable week for her family with a four-goal haul in Roosters’ demolition of Capri in women’s division 1 on Sunday.

Dolkens, whose older sister Dayle was named in Hockey Australia’s National Junior Squad last week, found the net three times in the second half as Roosters won 15-2.

Natasha Patricks and Rhyleigh Brown also scored hattricks for Roosters, who overtook third-placed Mudgeeraba on for-and-against.

The Wallabies upset second-placed Labrador 2-1 thanks to goals from Olivia Otto and Julie Mulligan.

In men’s division 1 yesterday, Labrador beat Capri 4-3, Burleigh and Roosters drew 3-3, and Mudgeeraba prevailed 2-0 against Waratahs.
