HE SAYS HE’S UNLOCKED SECRET TO THE SEXES

- EMILY HALLORAN

WHAT do women want? A Gold Coast motivational speaker, who says he was a virgin until he was 28, claims he has the answers.

Dave McDermott, 36, will share his views with local men at a forum titled “Understanding Women” in Burleigh tonight at 7pm.

Mr McDermott said he was inspired to start hosting the forums after his own struggles with the fairer sex.

He said though he couldn’t give away all his secrets, the forum would look at the main five things women find attractive.

“Men are told things like looks and money are what women find most attractive … They are at a certain level, but that is not everything women are looking for,” Mr McDermott said.

“Women want to be seen for who they are, they don’t want to be generalised, they want to be listened to.”

The two-hour free forum at the Burleigh Common will include a panel of women offering advice and help with body language and eye contact.

Mr McDermott said women were a mystery to him in his younger years.

“I was sexually repressed, I was a virgin until I was 28 … I was insecure and naive around women, but I overcame it with mentors, like I am now,” he said.

“In last year’s program, I had guys who were struggling to approach women, they would freeze due to nerves.

“Now women are coming to them, a man with confidence will be super attractive to a woman.”
