Sick kids benefit from snags sizzle

TWEED Byron police officers helped raise more than $2300 for local hospitals at a barbecue fundraiser last month. Members of the United Hospitals Auxiliaries NSW Tweed Heads branch and Tweed Byron police officers manned the barbie for the fundraiser, at Bunnings Tweed Heads South, on July 8. The Tweed Heads Bowls Club, Bunnings and local community supplied the sausages, onions and bread for the event.

The money will be donated to the children’s wards of the Tweed Heads and Gold Coast University Hospitals.
