Farewelling a Queens great
THE family of Brad Winton is inviting members of the Gold Coast cricket community to attend the Queens legend’s funeral at Nerang tomorrow.
Winton, 55, died last month after a long battle with lung cancer, with his service to be held at Allambe Memorial Park at 2pm.
In 1982, Winton, a right-armed paceman, was included in an honorary Australian under-21 team after representing Queensland at under-19 level. Sons Sam, Harry and Jack are now the backbone of the Queens first XI.
