Broncos to lift gears

-

WAYNE Bennett has challenged the Broncos to find a ruthless edge and put teams outside the top eight to the sword if they want to prove their premiership credentials.

The Broncos have worked their way safely into the top eight and are now pushing for a top-four finish after a tough three weeks.

Brisbane faced three topeight teams in the space of 12 days but have come out the other side with two victories from that period.

While critics have labelled the next two weeks as an “easy” draw for the Broncos, Bennett believes tonight’s clash with the Bulldogs and Thursday’s clash with the Cowboys are danger games.

Meanwhile, Test star Matt Gillett has been ruled out for the season with a neck injury.
