FISHING

OFFSHORE: There’s some good snapper spread out from the 50 fathoms, about 85m deep. Back on the 36 and 24 fathoms you’ll find some better quality fish – bait lining and pilchards are the best choice. There’s some nice cobia on the 24s as well. On the 18s, still finding big snapper, some jewfish and cobia.

SEAWAY/BEACHES: Jewfish, tailor, bream and flathead around. The Pumping Jetty and towards Main Beach, plenty of tailor. BROADWATER: There’s good tailor schools around Sovereign Island on high tide.
