TOM BOSWELL’S FIVE BEST SUNS

-

TOUK MILLER ................. 7/10

With the likes of midfield bull David Swallow missing, Miller did his best to bring some added physicality to the contest in an outclassed midfield. Fourteen of Miller’s 25 disposals were contested.

ALEX SEXTON ................ 8/10

Sexton continued to add to what has been a consistent season by slotting a careerhigh five goals from seven kicks. Considering how much the ball was parked at the other end of the ground it’s a significant contribution from the Queenslander.

JARROD HARBROW ...... 7/10

As elusive as ever and did his best to get the Suns going forward from a backline under constant fire. The half-back showed a level of composure his teammates couldn’t.

JACK BOWES ................. 6/10

Enormous effort from the backline. Bowes took six intercept marks and was quick to hit a target as the Suns tried to rebound. The second-year player stood tall in the absence of Steven May, Rory Thompson and Jack Leslie, who was shifted forward when Peter Wright was injured.

JARROD WITTS .............. 7/10

The stand-in captain was involved in one of the battles of the game against fellow ruckman Max Gawn. Witts won the hit-outs 40-30 but it wasn’t enough as Melbourne took control in the middle of the ground.
