Night Charmer (Race 2)
Odds on favourite Night Charmer ($1.45) gave her backers no cause for concern with an all-theway win in the 3yo Maiden Plate. Andrew Spinks had Night Charmer quickly into stride from the jump and had the Lorraine Erhart-trained filly travelling like a winner from the outset.
Killerman’s Run (Race 4) The punters who took the short odds on Killerman’s Run were cheering a long way from home when apprentice Clayton Gallagher released the brakes on the six-year-old on the home turn. The Glenn Stock daletrained gelding treated his opposition with contempt in the straight to run away and record a big win.
Tedder Avenue (Race 6) Anthony Allen was the punters’ pin-up boy in the sixth race when he steered the $2.80 favourite Tedder Avenue to a comfortable 2½ lengths win. Allen had Tedder Avenue in the firing line from the jump and nothing else had a chance when he pressed the go button once heads were turned for home.
Losers
Rabbit Hunter (Race 1) Favourite backers knew they were in trouble when Rabbit Hunter ($1.85) was the last to leave the barriers.
Sicario (Race 3)
A tough run in the early and middle stages was too much for the $2.60 favourite. Sicario grabbed second in a tight photo.
American Love (Race 5) American Love never looked comfortable and did a good job to finish third in a three-way photo.

Hugs ‘N’ Kisses (Race 5)
Hugs ‘N’ Kisses at 100-1 was a head away from causing a major upset. A repeat performance over a slightly longer journey will see Hugs ’n’ Kisses break through for her maiden win in the near future.
