Queensland
Fine and sunny for most parts with any remnant shower and possible storm activity clearing from east coastal districts during the morning. The slight to medium chance of showers will continue over the northern tropics where some moisture persists. Morning frosts are likely over the southern and southeastern interior and may develop near the western border south of about Mount Isa. Moderate to fresh west to southwesterly winds in the south. Moderate to fresh south to southeasterly wind in the northern tropics. Fire danger: very high in the Gulf Country and Southeast Coast districts. Tomorrow. A belt of high pressure will continue to extend over southern Queensland with a dry air mass and fine and mostly sunny conditions persisting for most of the state. Some moisture will linger over the northern tropics north of Cairns with the slight to medium chance of showers expected. Minimum temperatures will be well below the August average away from the northern tropics with widespread morning frosts expected over the interior and inland parts of central and southeast districts.
