IT’S TIME TO SADDLE UP

SOME may not consider it art as much as just part of the landscape now, but there are some quirky and recognisable statues and sculptures scattered across the Gold Coast.

If you’ve never been to the Niecon Plaza at Broadbeach to see the Man from Snowy River statue (pictured), you’re missing out. There’s also a newer statue, the Nikiforides Family Sculpture, right outside the The Star casino.

And of course, right across the road is the proud horse statue. Yes, that’s another one that definitely requires a selfie.
