FISHING

-

OFFSHORE: 36 fathom reefs near the Seaway fishing well for snapper, which are still being caught all along the Coast, especially early mornings and evenings. Also around on the closer reefs are parrotfish, perch, cod and jewfish.

BROADWATER: Plenty of flathead, and tailor as well. Still some nice whiting up the Nerang River. And mudcrabs if you’re lucky.

FRESHWATER: At Hinze Dam there’s bass deeper in the west arm. And in the morning there’s a chance of some fun with saratogas on the surface lures.

BEACHES: Plenty of tailor, bream and flathead, especially at the sand pumping jetty. Jewfish also increasing in the Jumpinpin area.
