The Gold Coast Bulletin

Headline a badge of honour for hooligans

- CHRIS MCMAHON

THE “Burrito Brained’’ headline published by the Gold Coast Bulletin became a badge of honour for the cartel.

They created a bumper sticker to sell to members.

An eBay page was already selling stickers, priced between $6.50 and $20.95, to the group’s 15,000 Facebook members and recruits.

“More new stickers in the eBay store for all the true sicarios,” the group boasted on its social media. “Be an OG mexicano and throw up some filthy stickers to honour the cartel,” another post read.

After the Bulletin report on the group’s antics last week, the Cartel created another sticker (above), taking the headline and creating some car art for their members.

Another bumper sticker on their eBay page correctly labelled them ‘Locally hated’, with the Bulletin understanding the community took a stand and helped lead police to a number of the group’s more active members.
