Have fun, raise funds

AUSTRALIAN lifestyle clothing company LKI Brand is holding its annual charity event on Friday to raise money for cystic fibrosis sufferers.

The third Beats and Eats charity event at the Christensen Rd warehouse, Stapylton, is aimed at raising $8000 for gym equipment for the Lady Cilento Children’s Hospital cystic fibrosis ward in Brisbane.

Previous events saw hundreds turn up and chip in $6000.

The evening will feature tasty food truck fare, beers, coffee, treats, entertainment and an auction.

Cystic Fibrosis Queensland is an organisation close to the heart of LKI, with one of its employees and cousin of brand founder and director Jason Daniel, Blake Campbell, living with the genetic condition. It affects one baby born every four days, affecting the lungs and digestive system. There is no cure yet. Beats and Eats runs from 4.30-8pm. Entry is by gold coin donation.
