OPPORTUNITY DRAWS DAVID TO TINSELTOWN
GOLD Coast-trained actor David Todman has said goodbye to the shores of Australia for the bright lights of Hollywood.
The former New York Film Academy Southport student has been invited to take part in a one-week intensive course in Los Angeles with top casting directors and executives at Paramount and Fox Studios.
The former Gold Coast Little Theatre and Spotlight actor now calls Melbourne home and has just wrapped up on the Melbourne production of Puffs, an off-Broadway Potterinspired comedy play.
He is also currently starring in TV show Sexy Herpes, which started as a small independent production and has since gone on to win numerous festival awards, including several “Best Ensemble’’ awards, and was bought by Channel 9GO and Virgin Airlines.
“I started my professional acting career on the Coast — landing a couple of episodes of Wanted on Channel 7 and doing several theatre shows before moving to Melbourne,” he said.
