BRAD Tweed Heads. Not sure what greenies and unions have to do with drought-affected farmers but you can blame the LNP for Ford and Holden going under, what’s the difference?

Barney, you forgot the other 3 ways to evade a jail sentence. Be a politician, policemen or a priest and business owners are good at ripping off their workers and not going to jail too.

NO! To destroying this end of town with proposed cruise ship terminal!

More than pleased to read that Mr Griffiths has some welldeserved back-up. Onya boys! Big proud of you!

I’m with Hetty Johnston and will always be on the side of innocence. The judicial system is letting down children whose rights come first. Imagine having to tell a traumatised child that the loony who hurt them is still out there and won’t be punished. The system is letting down the police also who work themselves ragged trying to catch these creatures only to see them set free. Disgusted. G

Just seen one of council’s orange bikes having a swim in Lodders Creek, Queen Street. Even the helmet was enjoying itself.

I see that our major energy companies are showing record profits, in some cases three or four times that of previous years and it appears that Federal Government subsidies of renewable energy is the reason. So, if Malcolm is handing out renewable subsidies that produce massive profits, why do these organisations also need company tax cuts? Food for thought. GT

GZ, yep, “the whole state or nothing”, so you better start getting used to DLS. Have a look at the people’s votes. Not just Gold Coast at all. Bring it on! Ss

How do they “find” $84 million after the Games in an account when we were supposedly in debt and Parkwood residents had to pay extra on rates to cover the loss of athletes village that STILL has no residents? Pathetic government. Wog

Yes! A company that wants to build a CST at Tugun near the airport. AND use their money, not ratepayers’. Bring it on. KL

Can I have a hot coffee please? I didn’t order a milkshake. And it’s winter. What’s wrong with GC baristas? - John

The Newman Government rubber-stamped the new Brisbane cruise ship terminal and the Brisbane City Council is an

LNP ticketed council. So don’t expect the LNP to change anything. Jk

Yes it’s great Tony Cochrane sticking up for Suns. Is that going to make them competitive next year when all they’ve worried about this year is whinging about Tom Lynch, who let’s not forget gave eight years to them? How about the players take some responsibility and have a go.

It’s been 15 years since we won the Bledisloe, and it’s been 15 years since NZ have been unloading their losers who cannot make the All Blacks on to our Wallabies. Mg

How about giving all the excess from the Games $84 million to be exact ... to the farmers who really need it!

I agree with you Fan F, I do not want to be forced to buy Coles brand. Coles I go to is full of their brands and clothing. I am changing to Woolworths. Nan M

Good news that there is such strong positive support during The Spit Master Plan process for community benefit. Ensuring the guarding of community assets into the future, such as the continued presence of our local trawling fleet, guaranteed and continued access and amenities and continuance of the open space so many enjoy and cherish, plus ensuring this amenity is preserved for the future has been a well endorsed theme. Per S. Spain

Give Tony Cochrane a little more time. Failure is not an option for this guy. Everything he touches turns to gold. Go Suns

Queenslanders, if you are worried that your curtains will fade, the cows will stop producing milk and your kids won’t go to sleep it’s all a myth! Just check with your Kiwi mates (they’ve had daylight savings for years). Freddie

Went to my local Kmart, list in hand, only to find no hand baskets available throughout the store. Went to find a trolley only to find several angry people waiting for a trolley, none in the store. As I voiced my disappointment to a store employee I was told no baskets no trolleys not their problem as they just worked there. Not good enough. Kelly

Please, please, let’s have daylight saving here. Our lives will improve tremendously if we are aligned with all the other states. It’s time to move forward Q’land.

It’s funny how every time Malcolm is in trouble, a very favourable news poll comes out to save his bacon. Whenever things are running smooth, the polls drop back slightly just enough to give him a boost when he’s next in a spot of bother. A coincidence? Just saying …
