POOL PALS COOL CATS

- JEREMY PIERCE

THESE are two cool cats.

Cold weather isn’t stopping Dreamworld’s tiger cubs from making a splash.

Now almost seven months old, Mya and Melati have emerged from Cub Kindy to meet the Tiger Island regulars including Adira, Akasha, Kiko, Kali, Pi and Kai and are spending more time on the island exploring.

That includes the grownups pool built as part of last year’s Tiger Island revamp.

Tiger Island Manager Patrick Martin-Vegue said the cubs had adjusted quickly to swimming with their handlers, but were now venturing into the water on their own, gaining confidence and independence in the pool.
