Advice for young refs

-

TWEED United have launched a new program to develop up-and-coming young referees at the club, with 18-year-old Tye Gleeson heading up the initiative.

President Mark Thelwall said the Marlins had to find a way to nurture referees aged between 12 and 15.

“We were low on referees last year and having to get coaches to referee some Miniroos games,” Thelwall said.

“With Tye now co-ordinating the referees, it has resulted in a massive shift and a growing numbers of referees within our club.”
