Robina’s women looking to expand

-

AFTER the overwhelming success of their inaugural women’s team this year, the Robina Roos are looking to further expand their mob at Scottsdale Reserve.

The club aims to establish a second women’s side as well as a Colts team for 2019.

They currently have two teams in QFA Division 2 and one in QWFA Division 2

South.

Club president Heath King said the club’s future looked promising and they welcome new and experienced players.

Robina aim to field a women’s side in both Division 1 and Division 2 next year. He said a Colts side would “provide a clear pathway for players aged 16 to 19 to continue playing senior football with our club for years to come”.

Robina run an annual Condev Cares and Roos Charity Day and last month their women’s team hosted the first Pride Cup for AFL in the state.

The club is also seeking coaches, volunteers and sponsors. For more information and to register interest, visit robinaroos.com.au
