Bush trip aids Storm

-

THE hunger to succeed was never in question – players just needed to rediscover their appetite for hard work, says Storm coach Craig Bellamy.

Buoyed by a five-day break, Bellamy yesterday moved to clarify his stinging assessment of his men’s willingness to pursue back-to-back NRL titles.

Melbourne battled ball control and game management issues last weekend, something that has plagued the side all season.

“Having that hunger to do the small things, the boring things, the hard things, that’s what we all need to get back to,” Bellamy said.

“I’d like to think they know what they need to do (on the field). But perhaps there was a few of us that weren’t getting what we needed to get done and looking at the easy way, and probably going the scenic route instead of going the bush track.”
