Awake The Stars (Race 1) Awake The Stars has now recorded five wins from her past five starts at the Gold Coast. She is flying and there is no reason she can’t keep winning.
Mishani Sleuth (Race 7) Mishani Sleuth looked under pressure coming into the straight but he responded in emphatic fashion, hitting the front at the 200m mark before storming away from rivals.
Saxton Rock (Race 9) Clayton Gallagher rode Saxton Rock with plenty of confidence and in the end it was easy to see why. He ended up very wide coming into the straight, but it didn’t bother him and he picked up his rivals in a couple of strides. LOSERS
Prue’s Angel (Race 1) Prue’s Angel looked set to fight out the finish with Awake The Stars, but was one of the first horses beaten. A disappointing performance.
Jake’s Hill (Race 9)
Jake’s Hill was a drifting favourite ($2.80 out to $3.60) with Ladbrokes and ran accordingly. He was never in the race and is yet to fire a real shot since he arrived in Australia. It could be a while before he starts a race as favourite again.

A win continues to elude Rebel Miss but if Matthew Smith keeps her in Queensland, one is surely just around the corner.
Sold For Song (Race 8)
Sold For Song hadn’t been seen since November and it took a very smart horse in Dal Cielo to deny her a first-up win. Kevin Kemp can take her interstate and she will be competitive.
