Bergerac’s big chance

-

THE search for a big track was the reason trainer Steve Tregea took Bergerac to Sydney for his past two starts and it’s the reason he will run at the Sunshine Coast on Saturday.

Bergerac had two recent starts in Sydney, winning at Randwick on August 4 before finishing a close-up fifth at Rosehill a week later.

“There is no doubt he is a big-track horse as you can see from his record at the Sunshine Coast where he has had four starts for three wins and a second,” Tregea said.

“Unfortunately we don’t get the Sunshine Coast for many metropolitan meetings.”

Bergerac has accepted for a 1400m at the Sunshine Coast this weekend.
