Race to stop Ebola

FOUR more experiment­al treatments against the deadly Ebola virus have been approved for the Democratic Republic of the Congo as the government races to contain an outbreak.

Health authoritie­s last week started administer­ing the USdevelope­d mAb114 treatment to Ebola patients, the first time such a treatment has been used against an active outbreak.

The health ministry on Tuesday said the 10 patients who had received mAb114 since August 11 had had a “positive evolution”.
