Tourist duo enter pleas
LAWYERS for two Chilean tourists who could face death sentences if convicted of killing a man in Malaysia say the duo acted in self-defence and should be acquitted.
The two men pleaded not guilty yesterday to killing a 28year-old Malaysian at a Kuala Lumpur hotel on August 4, 2017, less than 24 hours after arriving in Malaysia.
Lawyer Venkateswari Alagendra says the Malaysian demanded money from them at the hotel lobby and tried to attack them. She says the men acted in self-defence.
