Five times legal limit

A GOLD Coast woman has pleaded guilty to driving while almost five times the legal blood alcohol limit while on powerful medication prescribed for nerve pain, and crashing into three parked cars.

Judith Ann Lord, 68, pleaded guilty in the Southport Magistrate­s Court yesterday to driving under the influence and driving without due care and attention after crashing her car on Oxley Dr at Paradise Point on July 8.

She was found to have a blood alcohol limit of 0.248.

Magistrate Dermot Kehoe gave Lord an 18-month probation order, disqualifi­ed her driver’s licence for 15 months and recorded a conviction.
