Faked jewellery costly
A WOMAN who fabricated customers having pawned gold necklaces to Cash Converters so she could pocket the cash has walked from court with a $600 fine and convictions.
She was also ordered to pay $850 in compensation.
Kimberly May Clark, 31, pleaded guilty in Southport Magistrates Court yesterday to three counts each of stealing by a clerk as servant and false entry of records.
The court heard that in September and October last year, Clark, who worked for Cash Converters, made up three different customers who had pawned a gold necklace. CCTV cameras showed her pocketing the cash. After a relationship breakdown Clark was living in her car at the time.
