Club waits on council

-

GOLD Coast United are hopeful they will have an answer from Gold Coast City Council on their proposed to move to Tallebudgera’s Coplick Family Sports Park by the end of next month.

Still without a permanent home almost a year on from their revival, United are desperate to set up their own base but need council to provide the land.

Club officials had hoped to have an answer about Coplick by the end of the August, but it was not forthcoming.

“Our presentation day is on September 21 and we’d love to know by then,” United chairman Danny Maher said.

“(The) NPL trial window is October 7-21 and (council) are aware of that. It’d be good to let players know before trials.”

United currently train at Carrara Sports Precinct and play matches out of Robina Station Reserve.
