AFTER a marathon effort, GOLDOC chairman Mark Peters held his last boardroom meeting this week and signed off after the opening of a permanent Commonwealth Games exhibition at the Gold Coast Sporting Hall of Fame.
His love is baseball, a medal winner in South Australian Baseball League during the late 1970s. He still competes in the Masters, if the hamstrings allow it.
But as to his next move, the man who managed Queensland’s biggest sporting event like most after a stint working here – he just wants to rest up on the Goldie.
