Senior, Hayden split title

PETER Senior and Paul Hayden have fired rounds of 5under par 66 to be declared joint winners of the Southport Pro-Am.

The pair finished a shot clear of Steven Jeffress, Ryan Gailey and Michael Sim.

“The course was in fantastic condition today,” Senior said.

“I haven’t played here for some time and I was pleasantly surprised. The course was in great shape. I played well today managing to remain bogey-free for the round.”

For Hayden, the win was his second on the Ladbrokes PGA Pro-Am Series for the 2018 season.

“I’ve been playing well the last few weeks and today it just clicked,” Hayden said.

“I hit a lot of good shots out there which gave me a number of birdie opportunities.”
