Easing SSE swell crossing over with smaller scale ENE windswell and long-range E swell. Lumpy 2 to 4ft sets northern NSW south-facing beaches, grading to a junky 2 to 3ft southern Qld exposed coasts and smaller elsewhere with size depending on exposure. WIND: Early light land-breezes tending variable tending NE to NNE 5 to 15 knots during the afternoon.

TOMORROW

Mix of smaller-scale E and SE swells around 2ft+ exposed breaks, grading smaller elsewhere with size depending on exposure. WIND: Early WNW to NW tending N to NNE and freshening to 15 to 20 knots.

SATURDAY

Background E/SE swells and light NE windswell. Sets around 2ft+ exposed beaches, grading to more like 1 to 2ft elsewhere. WIND: Early NW to NNW inshore around 10 to 15 knots, possibly tending variable before turning WSW later.

SUNDAY

Mix of small-scale ESE joined by

rising S windswell. Mostly around 2ft exposed Qld breaks. S windswell potentiall­y picks up to a junky 2 to 3ft+ across northern NSW coasts during the afternoon. Grading smaller inside the points and bays. WIND: Early SW to SSW at 10 to 15 knots tending SSE and freshening to 15 to 20 knots in the afternoon.

MONDAY

Potential for SSE windswell. Speculativ­ely up to a junky 2 to 4ft northern NSW south-facing coasts, mixing with underlying ESE swell at a slower 2 to 3ft exposed Qld breaks. WIND: Early light SSW tending SSE 10 to 15 knots.

TUESDAY

SSE swell mixing with underlying ESE swell. Speculatil­vey 2 to 3ft+ northern NSW south facing coasts, mixing with underlying ESE swell at 1 to 3ft exposed QLD breaks, grading to 1 to 2ft elsewhere. WIND: Early SW to SSW inshore, tending SE to ESE 5 to 10 knots, tending E later.
