HELPING HAND
Gold Coasters open their wallets for droughtaffected farmers.
As our farmers continue to struggle with the effects of drought, help has been arriving from all quarters, not least from Drought Angels, whose sold-out lunch raised more than $50,000
DROUGHT ANGELS CHARITY LUNCH
The Fish Emporium, Isle of Capri
THERE is one constant about the Gold Coast that rarely gets acknowledged and that is our capacity for giving. A group of locals decided to stage a lunch to aid Drought Angels and their great work in assisting the farmers in need. Before too long the lunch at The Fish Emporium was sold out and they had a range of extraordinary auction packages and prizes ready to be distributed. Over $50,000 was raised on the day which will be used by Drought Angels to help those most in need.
