Sail past at Southport

MORE than 70 boats – from sailing vessels to power craft – will do a parade on water to launch the Southport Yacht Club season this weekend.

The Sail Past and Blessing of the Fleet ceremony will be the club’s 72nd and go from the Southport Yacht Club marina from 2.45pm on Saturday.

The best vantage point for spectators to view the parade to the clubhouse is Broadwater Parklands. But visitors are also welcome to view it from the main clubhouse.
