TWO teens survived a highspeed crash after the ute they were in lost control on a steep road on Tuesday night.

The resident, who declined to be named, said it was the second crash he had responded to in less than two months at the bottom of the massive hill where The Panorama meets Worongary Rd, Tallai. A truck was involved in a crash on July 27.

“She was dazed and confused after going from about 80km/h to nothing,” he said. “The driver said the brakes didn’t work.”

The neighbour said it was at least the second time in recent weeks a vehicle’s brakes had failed on the hill.

“Something has to be done about it or one of these days I will be the first respondent to a said.
