PACIFIC Fair is being hailed as the official home of beauty bloggers after thousands of people flocked to the centre to catch a glimpse of make-up artist and YouTube sensation Jeffree Star yesterday.

The centre has recently hosted international beauty bloggers James Charles and Michael Finch and Insta model and social media influencer Tammy Hembrow in their beauty weekend events.

Now following the success of Star’s appearance, Pacific Fair senior marketing manager Kate Halpin said agencies were scouting more overseas talent to appear at future beauty events.

“Pacific Fair has really become the home of beauty in Australia,” she said. “We’ve hosted the world’s biggest names in beauty and Jeffree Star is another superstar we can add to the list.

“Having thousands of fans get the chance to see their idol today is truly amazing, and it’s a real coup for the Gold Coast.”

Thousands of crazed fans have even camped overnight at a Pacific Fair taxi rank to be the first in line to meet Star ahead of yesterday’s meet and greet.

A waiting area which was set up in a parking dock near the Pacific Fair taxi rank became a makeshift home for diehard fans fighting to be the first 350 in line to meet Star, who was visiting his one-day-only pop-up cosmetics shop.

Star, an internet celebrity, began promoting his cosmetics brand on YouTube, where he has since amassed more than 10 million subscribers and more than 1 billion views.
