OASIS GRIPES

More than half a dozen tenants in Oasis Shopping Centre, Broadbeach – upset at what they say is a foot traffic downtown – outlined concerns this week. Here is a sample.

“What’s really hitting us is the closure of the pub (Liar’s bar). People used to come out of the pub and come this way. We will not be getting any rent relief but we should be.”

“Most tenants on level one would appreciate rent relief. The ground floor has very few vacant shops.”

“You can’t blame the centre, it’s the whole Gold Coast.”
