PAWS FOR A CUDDLE AND YOU’LL NEVER WAG WORK

-

SCORES of pups have patrolled the corridors of Melbourne Water’s Docklands head office as part of its “bring your dog to work” program.

Beginning in November 2015 as a way to improve staff engagement and wellbeing, the idea has become permanent at the office and is a big reason staff love their jobs.

Today is a timely reminder of the value of the program, as it is national RUOK Day. Linda Heron of Melbourne Water said having dogs at work was important for staff and their wellbeing.

“Workplace health and safety is about more than just ensuring the physical safety of our people, it’s just as much about promoting mental health and wellbeing as well,” she said.
