OFFSHORE: Plenty of snapper and pearl on the 50 fathoms reefs. And there has been some nice phantomfis­h and amberfish.

On the 36 fathoms there’s parrot, snapper, and pearlies. On the 24s, snapper, parrot and trag jew.

Behind the breakers there’s plenty of tuna. You can catch them using stickbaits. SOUTH STRADBROKE:

Flathead, tailor too. BROADWATER: Big eye trevally and tailor around the rock wall. Inside the Broadwater there’s good numbers of decent flatties. Sand crabs are out as well. Jewfish in Jumpinpin bar.

FRESH WATER: Yellowbell­y and bass on live shrimp .
