Bay’s ground torn up

RUNAWAY Bay have been forced to find a new temporary home for the week after their Bycroft Oval field was ripped up earlier than expected.

Repair works on the Morala Ave ground began a week early, meaning players needed to head elsewhere for their preparations for the Rugby League Gold Coast A-grade grand final against Tweed Heads at Pizzey Park at 3pm on Sunday.

Bay headed to Helensvale for training on Tuesday and are likely to again be at Robert Dalley Park tonight.

Southport and Currumbin clash in the under-19 final at 11am and Mudgeeraba meet Currumbin in reserves at 1pm.
