PETER
Dutton is a capable Home Affairs Minister and should be congratulated on his major achievements helping keep Australia safe.
Whether his recently reported actions are true or not, they are much less significant than his major responsibilities.
Given the large amount of undetected interstate trafficking, the decision to show ID for domestic passengers passing through several major cities is a good one.
Mr Dutton is not one of the LNP’s most popular ministers, but he does have the convictions of his portfolio at heart. KEN JOHNSTON, ROCHEDALE SOUTH
