END OF A CENTURY AS FARM SELLS

A YATALA farm owned by the same family for more than 100 years has sold to Gold Coast City Council.

The 396 Stanmore Rd property fronts the Albert River and was sold by the executors of the estate of Kirrel Enkelmann.

The 84.51ha cattle farm had been in the Enkelmann family since the late 19th Century.

The council has plans to turn the property into sporting fields for the booming northern Gold Coast region. Colliers International’s Daniel Coburn negotiated the deal.
