Flanagan gets shot at title
QUEENSLAND power puncher Mark Flanagan is just one big hit away from becoming Australia’s next world boxing champion after his shot at Arsen Goulamirian for the interim WBA cruiserweight world title was confirmed yesterday for October 20 in Marseilles, France.
The Brisbane-based Townsville slugger went 12 gruelling rounds with Russian great Denis Lebedev last year and now has the opportunity of lifting the championship at Marseille’s Palais des Sports.
