SEQ bid faces Korean might
A SOUTHEAST Queensland bid for the 2032 Olympic Games may be battling a blockbuster joint bid from South Korea and North Korea.
It would carry powerful international significance for the IOC to grant an Olympics to the two Koreas.
A SEQ Council of Mayors spokesman said first-stage recommendations from a feasibility study into a 2032 Olympics bid were being prepared. The Gold Coast City Council has not contributed financially to the feasibility study.
